We have been doing swimming lessons this week with Robin Schafer. She has been so great and Cyndi Anthes has been SO nice to let us use her beautiful pool. They girls have been doing great-even though the water has been a bit too cold to be swimming. They are learning so fast and they do everything that Robin asks them to do. Madi is a bit scared of jumping in from off of the side. She gets up there and starts to cry and they Robin says," Madi, you can do this". She immediatley stops crying and jumps right in. I have been so proud of them. Robin told me today that on day 3, when she teaches them how to swim and then come up for a breath, almost every other kid has tears at some point. She said that she just cannot believe how well they did today, that they are such great listeners, and that they are willing to try everything that she asks them to do.
Girls-I am SO proud of you!
Stef and I were talking about swimming the other day and about how neither of us can swim very well. My mom acted shocked that we would say this since she sent us to swim lessons each summer in Richfield (with mean red-headed Jan as our teacher!). We told her that it is because we never swam the whole year in between! The only time we ever went swimming was for that week each summer when it was swimming lesson time and we all loaded up on the bus with our awesome sack lunches with Linda Jenkins as our chaparone!
